Children Mentioned is a blog about our life with a baby after successful treatment for male factor infertility. We live in Modiin, Israel with our beautiful baby girl, Avigail Yocheved.
About the name: Children mentioned is a warning in the infertility blogosphere. It is used to identify a post that mentions children, whether they belong to the poster or are unrelated, so that readers who are feeling particularly sensitive to the topic can avoid such posts. I chose it as the name for this blog for two reasons: First, as someone who fought infertility for more than four years to have their first child, I always hoped I’d have a good reason to put “children mentioned” at the top of one of my posts. It’s likely that most posts on this blog, at least for the forseeable future, will mention our little girl. Second, I got a lot of negative feedback from folks on my other blog, “What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting,” when I didn’t change the name of the blog when I conceived. In this way, I hope all readers will know exactly what to expect when they visit here. The last thing I want to spread is more hurt feelings – infertility is tough enough without added heartache.
